What is for supper? The holidays are filled with gatherings and nine times out of ten those gatherings include food. Not just bread, but meat and veggies. Ham, turkey, mac and cheese, and green beans have been common dishes over the last few days for our family gatherings.

Being a spoiled nation there are often comments after a few of these big dinners that include one or two people that say, “I’m tired of this” or “I don’t want that.”

Does that happen with our spiritual appetite? God has showed up and prepared the table and wants to provide a spiritual feast and instead as our host he hears no thanks, I’m not hungry. I’ve already ate. We just stopped by for a minute we don’t have time to stay long.

Feast today on the Word of God. Spend time with him and you will find there is more variety in the vegetables of God, His fruit is always in season and you never get to full. Plan to stay awhile. God created mankind for relationship with him. It is hard to enjoy conversation when you are always in a hurry. Stop, relax, fix you a plate and sit at the table with God. Get lost in conversation, keep your fork because the dessert is sure to be amazing.
