During this time of year men and women of all ages will be faced with the question, am I loved?

I am very grateful to have married my high school sweetheart and together we have shared our love story for over 30 years.

Not everyone is able to smile and say they are loved by someone. In a world where we search the messages in our e-mail, text, Facebook, and other social media outlets hundreds of times per day reading stories to make us laugh, other stories that make us cry. We scan other people’s life looking for something to fill the void in our own lives.

The question pending is, what are we looking for? We want to know someone is thinking about us. Human begins have a deep longing to be loved, noticed, and truly appreciated. I believe we see so much brokenness in relationships because as the old song says…. we are looking for love in all the wrong places, looking for love in to many spaces. What people, places and spaces are you searching for love?

Loved by a parent

Loved by the one your dating

Loved by a spouse

Loved by a child

Love is a word used often but a word seldom considered for its true meaning. We say we love a restaurant, we love a meal, we love a job, we love an outfit, we love love love this or that.

True love is a gift from God. God is love. When faced with the question does anyone love me? The answer is YES!

Over the next few weeks leading up to the recognized LOVE DAY on February 14th you may give or receive notes, cards, candy, flowers or other gifts to express your love to or from another.

During this time regardless if you have flowers, candy or cards given to you; be reminded you are loved. Yes, you! When you are most unloveable he knows your name and has a plan and purpose for your life. God loves you.

FOR GOD SO LOVED THE WORLD

JOHN 3:16

God loves you so much he gave His only son as a gift. Not just any gift but the perfect gift. Have you received the perfect gift yet? What are you waiting on?

There is no need to wonder if you are loved. Shout it out to the world. HE LOVE ME!!!! It is true, for God so loved the world… Your world. Repeat these words, I matter to God.

When others fail to express their love to you, I know without a doubt God loves you. Truth is you were created to love him too.

I MATTER TO GOD?

I MATTER TO GOD.

I MATTER TO GOD!

No longer is that phrase a question or a statement. The phrase I MATTER TO GOD is a fact.

Enjoy the weeks leading up to Valentine’s Day. Share this wonderful love story with anyone who may be questioning if they are loved. Their parents may be gone, they may not be in a current relationship. Your married friends may be experiencing a spouse who is distant or their kids in rebellion.

No matter the circumstance, our hope is found in Jesus Christ. The one who died so that we might have life and have it to the fullest.
