Have you shouted these words? There is no way out of this situation!

Male and Female, young or old, temptations are a part of our spiritual journey. When your back is against the wall and you feel there is no way out, look to your right and then to your left. God has gone before you and there is always an escape door.

God is for you, not against you.

Often I hear people say, God will not put more on you than you can handle. I would dare say He will put more on us than we can handle, allowing us to lean into him for support. God wants us to trust him more than we depend and trust ourselves.

The scripture say He will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. This verse from I Corinthians is a promise that when our back is against the wall or when we are pushed into a crisis corner we don’t have to give up. We can look up.

No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it.

I Corinthians 10:13

Look up to God who sees all and knows all. He knows the pitfalls that come with temptations. The danger of doing or saying something that would compromise your testimony. God is faithful. God can be trusted. God will make a way of escape.

God will not take away our free will to say or do anything. However there is an internal alarm that will go off to warn us of the danger of what we are about to say or do.

The enemy is lurking close to set you up. Satan wants you to think or behave in a manner that compromises who you are and your values. The enemy will attempt to silence the alarm.

Today’s scripture reminds us there will ALWAYS BE AN OUT. God will make a way for each one to flee. When your back is against the wall, don’t give in and don’t give up. Look up, God is near.

Yes, you may be in over your head. The burden you are carrying is heavy.

Lean into God, he will lift the burden, he will make a way out. God will not intervene and change your mind unless you ask. The choice will always be yours. You must ask for help.

With every choice there is a consequence. Don’t blame God for the actions you take or the actions of others.

I would also caution against this common statement, the Devil made me do it. The accurate statement is the Devil set me up. The enemy offers the temptations. He will make the temptation easy to experience. The choice is ours to make.

Free will is when each person speaks or acts out and the responsibility becomes theirs.

Young or old, male or female each will be faced daily with temptations. Listen for the alarms, the word is true, “he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it”.

Make good choices, others are watching. Show the world how to react to temptations. Ask God for help, he is ready to rescue you.
